Smoky Mountain River Adventures started with two kayaks, a used pickup truck, and a love for the Little River that runs through Townsend, Tennessee. What began as weekend trips with friends turned into a full outfitter serving thousands of floaters a year — without losing the small-town feel that got us started.

We’re based on the quiet side of the Smokies, just outside the busier tourist strips of Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge, on a stretch of river known for its calm current, clear water, and mountain views.
